Archive.today

Archive.today (also known by related domains such as archive.ph / archive.is) is an on-demand webpage-snapshot service that freezes a page as it appears at capture time, including a screenshot-like rendition. Unlike broad crawlers, it is typically used one URL at a time and is popular when users want a durable citeable copy independent of the live site.

Use and caveats

Writers use it alongside—or instead of—the Wayback Machine when a page is paywalled, likely to change, or incompletely crawled elsewhere. As with all public archives, legality, takedown policies, and incomplete script execution can limit fidelity. Foreverpedia treats it as a Web archiving tool, not as an endorsement of any particular capture.
